Guest Room

We repainted the guest room.  Then we bought new furniture for it too, and decorated.  This project was completed back at the beginning of the year.  We really love the way it all turned out.  

Holiday Candy Making 2011

The girls in our family have a tradition of making candy around the Christmas season. Although we have been really busy this year, the tradition must live on. So on the 18th of December the girls (Donna, Jen & Jess) got together and made a few treats. They divided them up and put them on plates to be shared with friends and family. We kept a few for ourselves and kinda munched on them from time to time till they were all gone. Junk food is no good for you but you can't let it go to waste. I was able to take a few pictures of the making and the final product. It's a mess to clean up...but worth every bit!

Sunday, Christmas Day 2011, we as a family were able to talk with Elder McNew via "Skype". Our conversation lasted between a half hour to an hour. He visited us from his host family's home in Moreno Valley, California. He was excited to tell us that he was able to be the 'best man' at the wedding of Jamie & Nicole who he has been teaching and will be baptized on the 31st of December 2011. The Johnson's (who host the two full-time missionaries) are happy to have "McNew" as they call him in their home. We also had the chance to visit with them as well. Each of us had the opportunity to chat with Justin. All of us had a wonderful visit & look forward to our "skype" with him on Mother's Day.
